The BGS community is one such collective. What unites them all is a love of the subculture, from the clubs, braces and bleached denim to the punk and ska music. The same thing happens up at Fountain Bar in Birmingham every so often. One of the biggest dates in the BGS diary is Oifest, which is making its long-awaited return to the capital between Friday 28th and Sunday 30th October.

This takes place at Central Station and throughout the course of the three days, you can expect live DJs and 2tone bands, a bondage demo, a head-shaving station and lots of mixing with other like-minded fellas. The only requirement is that you make a bit of an effort with your threads — skinhead is the london aesthetic, but leather, rubber, pup and scally wear is all OK, too.
